What We Do
Van Pelt Sports Management was founded by American professional point guard, skills trainer, scout, and coach Matt Van Pelt in September of 2015. Since then, we have been doing a variety of all things basketball related. VPSM does the following:
- Place professional basketball players and coaches with jobs overseas.
- Send coaches to work for basketball academies.
- Scout basketball players internationally for both professional organizations and university programs.
- Host exposure camps to help give free agent basketball players quality film, something to put on their resume, and a chance to get signed to professional teams.
- Help hopeful college athletes get scholarships at universities overseas.
- Edit and create highlight films for players of all ages and abilities.
- Conduct basketball camps.
- Conduct individual and small group basketball workouts.
- Conduct strength and conditioning workouts in the weight room.
- Train professional teams, university teams, and national teams, as well as youth teams.
- Run tours and tournaments abroad.
- Provide guest coaching for clubs and academies that need a coach or need a camp ran for them for short periods of time.
- Sell merchandise.
- Edit basketball resumes for players and coaches.
- Sell basketball resume templates.
- Sell email templates that assist free agent basketball players in addressing professional teams, coaches, owners, general managers, and agents.
- Consultancy work for professional basketball organizations.
- Provide videos of ball handling drills on the @handlebypeezy Instagram page.
- Sell a list of 300 + ball handling drills that VPSM president Matt Van Pelt uses in his own workouts.
- Post updated job openings for both players and coaches on our Van Pelt Sports Management Facebook page, the Matthew Van Pelt YouTube page, and our @vpsm_global Instagram page.
- Run a basketball related vlog series on the 'Matthew Van Pelt' YouTube page.
- Share basketball drills, highlights, videos offering advice on how to play professionally overseas, as well as many other basketball related videos on the 'Matthew Van Pelt' YouTube page.
- We are also in the process of creating an online training system for skill development which will be available for sale in the near future.
- Essentially, we do all things FIBA related and then some.
